One of the cleanest waters I’ve seen in India. This is Kala Pathar beach, Havelock island.
Kala Pathar beach is an east facing beach, which is open to public (not a private beach). This beach is one of the MUST-SEE places in Havelock Island. Tourists do visit this place but it is not crowded.
TIDBIT: Kala Pathar’ in Hindi means ‘Black Stone’. The huge black stones in the clean water gives this beach its name
The white sanded beach with clean and calm turquoise colored water dotted with huge black stones (which is why the beach is called ‘Kala Pathar’ meaning ‘Black Stone’) takes ones breath away.
TIP: Go to Kala Pathar beach for Sunrise.
Spotted this old couple taking a walk on the Kala Pathar beach and singing old Hindi songs.
